Jessica Pollard grew up right outside Portland, Oregon. She studies geography and English at Portland State University. Her poetry emerges from the eccentricity of familiar place, forgotten pop-culture, and all the unmentionable human brain dander she can sweep onto paper. Her work in journalism was previously featured in the Willamette Week. She’s currently crafting a series of erasure poems derived from commonplace texts.
Karleigh Frisbie escaped the sunshine and freeways of her native California when she moved to the Pacific Northwest 14 years ago. She’s currently an MFA candidate at Portland State University, where she also teaches creative nonfiction. She runs a monthly reading series and is an editor at Portland Review. Her work can be found in Zaum and Street Roots and is forthcoming in Lana Turner Journal, Nailed, and more.
