manuel arturo abreu (b. 1991, Santo Domingo) is a poet and artist living and working out of a garage in southeast Portland, OR. They use text, ephemeral sculpture, and the general intellect in a process of magical thinking, with attention to ritual aspects of aesthetics. They wrote List of Consonants (Bottlecap Press, 2015), transtrender (Quimérica Books), and most recently,their debut collection of critical prose, Incalculable Loss, available now from the Institute of New Connotative Action Press. abreu also co-runs home school, a free pop-up art school in Portland. https://manuelarturo
Olivia Olivia comes from the same place all sad things come from–the sea. Her writing has appeared in Salon, The Rumpus, The Establishment, Ex-Berliner, and the Portland Mercury, among other places. Thomas Macfie was born in Sewanee, TN and studied creative writing at Flathead Valley Community College and the University of Montana in Missoula. His writing has appeared in Diagram, Fence, the Nashville Scene and elsewhere. He currently lives in Nashville TN where he is a co-facilitator of the Free Nashville Poetry Library.
Robert Torres is a Portland writer and performer. They have worked with Deep Overstock, 1001 Journal, Monkey with a Hat on, and Twilight Theater. Their work explores queer and Marxist themes, and addresses the trouble of having a body whether you like it or not.
Kate Jayroe is a writer, bookseller at Powell’s Books, and staff member with the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. Work by Kate appears in Tammy, VIDA’s Report from the Field, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Joyland, Juked, and elsewhere.
