Philip Good is celebrating his new chapbook, Poets In A Box or Pluto In Motion, on REALITY BEACH press by having a reading at Mother Foucault’s on Saturday, March 3, along with Stephanie Adams-Santos, Joseph Mains, and a very special secret guest appearance.
Philip Good’s work is included in Infiltration, An Anthology of Innovative Poetry from the Hudson River Valley and Helix Syntax, the 41st Summer Writing Program Magazine, Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, Naropa University. Stephanie Adams-Santos is the author of Swarm Queen’s Crown, a finalist for the Lambda Literary Awards, and the chapbooks Total Memory and Little Fugues; her award-winning chapbook The Sundering was selected by Linda Gregg for an Academy of American Poets New York Chapbook Fellowship. Stephanie’s work is rooted in the crossroads of ritual, ancestry, identity, and environment. Her work “invokes history as a knowledge that can be felt, something with the potential to transform (and transform our perspectives) at the intersections of language and image, intimacy and violence, and grief and galvanization” (Lo Kwa Mei-En). She is the founder of Tarot Obscuro and Ojo de la Selva Press.
Joseph Mains took his MFA from The University of Arizona, and is the author BO$$Y, forthcoming in July 2018, as well as the chapbooks Jojo the Dogface Boy (Gramma 2018), A Portable Model of How Memory Works (Alice Blue 2013), Poumpoum Tralala (Poor Claudia 2010), and To Live Don’s Life: A Film in 15 Creams (Scantily Clad Press 2009). He lives in Portland, Ore., where he used to edit Octopus Magazine and co-founded and co-did the reading series Bad Blood. He is currently at work on a series of essays interrogating masculinity and transgenerational trauma in working class families.
